A sold out crowd of over 300 women gathered for the first Celebrate Women Luncheon at the Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay on September 1, 2010.  Author, humorist and keynote speaker Mary Pierce shared her hilarious and motivational message about the power of women working together.

"Anyone can be a philanthropist through the Women's Fund of Door County," says BJ Cassidy, Co-Chair of the Women's Fund.  "By pooling contributions both big and small, our impact on the community will be dramatically magnified."

It was announced at the event that the Women's Fund is now accepting grant applications from local charities and organizations.

"The Women's Fund will seek out the best ideas from charities in Door County," says Jane Stevenson, Co-Chair of the Women's Fund.  "It will invest in those projects which have the potential for the greatest impact.  When women and girls thrive, communities prosper."

The Women's Fund of Door County builds, enriches and nurtures the lives of women and girls through collective wisdom and philanthropy.  Through grants, the Women's Fund utilizes the ideas and expertise of Door County's charities to support the well-being of women and girls.

Consider making a gift to support the important work of the Women's Fund.

And mark your calendar now for next year's Celebrate Women! luncheon which will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Stone Harbor Resort.

Because when she thrives, we all prosper!
